LEH KHARDUNGLA JEEP SAFARI PANGONG TSO TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01:
Leh
Upon arrival at Leh a jeep will pick up and transfer to
hotel. Take rest for the day to acclimatize to the low
pressure atmosphere in Leh or later visit local market.
Dinner and Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 02: Excursion to Sham Valley
In morning have a refreshing breakfast, drive to Alchi
village. At Alchi visit Alchi gompa, a popular and oldest
monastery in Leh classified by UNESCO as world heritage
site, Magnetic hill that defies the law of gravity, Hall of
Fame, a magnificent museum constructed by Indian army,
Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, built by the Lamas of Leh to
commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak Dev. Kali Mata temple,
Sangam of Zanskar and Indus and Indus rivers, here Zanskar
river with darker muddy waters meets Indus/Sindhu River with
clearer bluish water. Dinner and Overnight stay in hotel at
Leh.
Day 03: Excursion to Pangong Lake
After a healthy Breakfast, drive to have a full excursion
tour of Pangong Tso Lake, one of the prominent and
breathtaking lakes in the world and which is bisected by the
Indo-China border. Enroute visit Chang-la pass, the third
highest motorable road in the world. After sight-seeing tour
of Pangong Lake. Beside this visit to Shey Palace, used to
be residence of the royal family of Ladakh and Thiksey Gompa,
a twelve storied monastery famous for its architect and
breathtaking location. Dinner and Overnight stay in camp at
Pangong lake.
Day 04: Drive back to Leh
Have a hearty breakfast, leave from Pangong Lake and drive
back to Leh. Enroute visit Hemis Gompa, largest, wealthiest
and populous monastery in all of Ladakh famous for copper
statue of Buddha, stupas made of gold & silver and also for
its summer festival. In evening explore the famous market of
Leh, Namgyal Gompa and Leh Palace. Dinner and Overnight stay
in hotel at Leh.
Day 05: Excursion to
Khardung La Pass
After breakfast in morning, explore the Khardong-La Pass the
highest motorable pass in the world which offers an exotic
view of surrounding valleys. In afternoon get back to the
hotel and relax. Later visit Shanti Stupa, Buddhist white
dome stupa which provides beautiful and panoramic view of
the surrounding landscape. Dinner and Overnight stay in
hotel.
Day 06: Airport Departure
Today after breakfast we will take you to the nearest airport and railway station for your further journey.
