TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01:
Leh to Likir
Arrival at Leh, our representative will receive you and
drive you to Likir. En-route, enjoy the awe-inspiring view
of confluence of Zanskar and Indus River before Nimo
village. Visit Likir Monastery known as Klu-kkhyil(water
spirit) gompa at Likir village, one of the oldest village of
India. Dinner and Overnight stay at ca.
Day 02: Likir Trek to Yangthang
In morning after breakfast, start the first leg the trek and
cross Phebbe la and Chhagatse la, small passes enrouting
lonely village of Samdo. On arrival at Yangthang, camp is
set. Dinner and Overnight stay at camp in Yangthang.
Day 03: Yangthang
Spend a morning taking rest in camp and in the noontime
explore the Yangthang.t trek through the village houses
along the river with a grove of willow, apple and apricot.
It takes half an hour to reach Rizong gompa, most isolated
monastery of Ladakh. Enjoy a cup of butter tea in monastery
kitchen. In the evening trek back to Yangthang for dinner
and overnight stay in camp.
Day 04: Yangthang Trek to Hemis Shukpachan
Have breakfast in morning at camp and then easy and gentle
trek to Hemis Shukpachan via Hemis La. En route cross a
small pass Tsermangchan La and in about 1 or 2 hours reach
the top. Enjoy the picturesque landscape of the surrounding
and enchanting village of Hemis Shukpachan. From here
descend down to Hemis Shukpachan, have lunch and explore the
village known for its aromatic Shukpa(cedar) and enjoy
Ladakhi gur-gur tea with the local people. Dinner and
overnight stay in camp.
Day 05: Themisgam Trek
In the morning after a refreshing breakfast, depart Hemis
Shukpachan and continue an east trek towards Themisgam. On
the way descend to Meptek La, cross the pass then a gentle
downhill trek to Ang La. Trekking trip ends at the
enchanting village of Themisgam, have lunch here. Explore
the village and castle on hill top. Dinner and Overnight
stay at camp in Themisgam.
Day 06: Themisgam to Leh
Have early morning breakfast at camp, a vehicle waiting for
you transfer you to Leh for your further journey.
Tour ends... but sweet memories always remain.
