Pahalgam - Pahalgam is the jewel of the Liddar valley of Jammu and Kashmir
in the high Himalayas. Famous as the starting point pf Amarnath pilgrimage, it
provides excellent opportunities for hiking, trekking and fishing. At an
altitude of 2130 m above sea level, has verdant natural beauty with sparkling
waters of River Liddar, snow covered mountains and lush greenery. It is the
Asia's only saffron growing area. One can opt for horse riding throught its
delightful walks and watch the breathtaking views of the alpine forests of the
Himalayas. It also offers angling and trout fishing in Liddar river. Virgin pine
forests, clear mountain streams and wildflower meadows make it ideal for
trekking. Overnight stay at Sheshnag.
Day 3 -Sheshnag
Trekking to Permandal via Gul Gali. Overnight stay at
Permandal.
Day 4 -Permandal
Trekking to Humpet. Overnight stay at Humpet.
Day 5 -Kantial Valley
Rest of the day free to relax. Later sightseeing tour of the
Kantial Valley.
Day 6 -Humpet
Trekking from Humpet To Kanital. Overnight stay at Kanital.
Day 7 -Boktol Pass
Trekking to Donara via Boktol Pass. Overnight stay at Donara.
Day8 -Panikhar - Srinagar
Trekking to Panikhar. Bus ride to Kargil. Optional continue
trekking to Heniskot, Lamayuru or Zanskar region via Karji-La or Parachik to
Rangdum. Departure to onward destination.
